Southfield, Mich. – Feb. 19, 2014 – Jessica Woll, managing partner of Woll & Woll, P.C., a Michigan-based divorce and family law practice with a particular expertise in complex family law issues, has been named one of Michigan’s 30 Leaders in the Law by the legal trade publication Michigan Lawyers Weekly. The Leader in the Law is awarded to lawyers for their significant accomplishments or achievements in the legal field, outstanding contributions to the practice of law in Michigan, leadership in improving the justice system in Michigan, seeking improvements to the legal community and setting an example for other lawyers. Ms. Woll and her fellow honorees from throughout the state’s legal community will be celebrated at an award luncheon on Thursday, March 20 at the Detroit Marriott in Troy.
Celebrating 20 years as a firm in 2014, Woll & Woll, P.C. has grown with Ms. Woll as the firm’s managing partner, while she remains a leader in divorce and family law issues. She is an experienced litigator, counselor and negotiator serving men, women and families in Michigan. She has noted expertise in change of domicile cases and custody issues. Additionally, Ms. Woll is leading the way in analyzing the complex issues of gay couples who are uncoupling in states that do not recognize gay marriage.
Ms. Woll is a member of the National Council of Jewish Women, Metro Detroit section, and the National Association of Professional Women.
In addition to being named one of the 2014 “30 Leaders in the Law”, Ms. Woll was named a Top Lawyerby DBusiness magazine in November 2013 and a diversity leader by Corp! Magazine in August 2013. She was also named to HOUR Magazine’s “Best of” list in 2008 and 2009.
Ms. Woll holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Wayne State University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Economic Development from the University of Michigan.
